We’re hiring a Line Pilot for our Houston, Texas team based at Hobby International Airport (HOU). In this role, you’ll report to the Chief Pilot as a First Officer, and you’ll be responsible for supporting other flight crewmembers in the operation of a Citation CE-550B.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Communicates effectively to the Chief Pilot, Base Manager, and other crew members regarding flight operational activities
  • Has no qualms canceling or suspending any flight operation in the interest of safety until safety hazards have been removed or are no longer a threat to safe operations
  • Performs Line Pilot, as well as other tasks as assigned to help support the tactical and strategic objectives of the flight operations department
  • Communicates to medical crew members clearly and with appropriate restraint
  • Promotes and supports our Safety and Just Culture Programs

You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the interpersonal skills needed to work effectively with customer representatives and other internal employees, both laterally and vertically. You should bring your excellent aeronautical skills, “team player” mentality, confidence in group settings, and good judgment with you to work every day. You should be self-motivated and organized, able to plan and manage your time effectively, and proficient at acquiring new skills rapidly. You should also be experienced in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and able to effectively use various mobile devices.

License/certification requirements:

  • Must be able to hold a TSA or Airport-issued Air Operations Area (AOA) or Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) security badge
  • Must be able to meet Second in Command qualifications in the King Air family and Cessna Citation type aircraft, and maintain a first class medical

Education qualifications:Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience qualifications:

  • ATP preferred
  • ATP written required
  • Minimum of two years operating with a commercial pilot as either a CFI, PIC, or SIC in flight operations for hire. Exceptions allowed for prior military personnel with an honorable discharge and civilian certificates. Prior air medical experience preferred.

Physical requirements:Ability to climb in and out of aircraft and ambulances required. Ability to sit for extended periods of time and complete computer work. Approximately 5% overnight travel required, occasionally on short notice.
