Our leadership team has a combined 200 years of experience in aviation and medical flight services. In fact, Chairman Rolfe Black has over 50 years of flight expertise. He began at age 14, pumping gas and cleaning airplanes on the landing strip beside his parents’ home. Under his direction, SevenBar Aviation has grown into a leader in medical flight services.

Although our backgrounds may vary, each one of us shares a common commitment to safety, service, and finding better, smarter, and more effective ways to serve our customers.

  • Wade Black

    Chairman + CEO

    The grandson of company founder Albert Black, Wade works to continue his family’s tradition of excellence as SevenBar Aviation charts new courses in the aviation industry. His vision, leadership and dedication are fundamental to SevenBar Aviation’s growth and continued success. In 1989, Wade became President of SevenBar Aviation. Early on his goal was to consolidate the ownership of SevenBar Aviation and its entities under one owner and grow the business. In 2000, Wade became the sole owner of the company. Wade’s growth strategy included adding more air medical contracts and looking for acquisition opportunities. He directed and oversaw the expansion into the Texas market with air medical contracts. SevenBar Aviation has grown more than five times during his tenure.

  • Kim Montgomery

    President and Chief Operating Officer

    Since joining SevenBar Aviation in 2001, Kim has proven her ability to manage successful business operations. She led the recent growth and operational achievements of the air medical division, and was named president in 2008. Kim's priority is to utilize SevenBar Aviation's 65-year history in aviation as a platform for leading the company to new levels in the air medical industry. She has responsibility for operating and financial performance, and leads the business planning process to identify opportunities, execute growth plans, and drives high-performance teamwork from her management team. Formerly Senior Vice President of Business Development at SevenBar Aviation, Montgomery played a leading role in growing the air medical business, improving the financial performance of existing business units, and was active in the sale of the company’s Fixed Base Operations in 2008.

  • B.J. Raysor

    Senior Vice President of Operations

    BJ has direct oversight responsibility for all of SevenBar Aviation’s flight and maintenance activities. He came to SevenBar Aviation after serving for several years as Director of Aviation for a well-respected, hospital-based Part 135 Helicopter EMS operator. BJ is an ATP rated pilot and a Certified Medical Transport Executive

  • Betsy Casanave

    Sr. VP of Business Development and Strategic Services

    Prior to joining SevenBar Aviation in 2014, Betsy served as Director & Chief of a large hospital based critical care transport program that provided services to the Southeast. She has held various leadership positions over the last 24 years in healthcare, and has worked as a clinician in Emergency Services, ICU, and critical care transport programs. Betsy is an active member of various national, state, and local organizations and served as the President of the North Carolina Air Medical Association. She previously served on the Association of Air Medical Services Board as an At-Large Director, and is currently serving on the Association of Critical Care Transport Board of Directors.

  • Daralee Stahl

    Vice President of Accounting

    Daralee joined the SevenBar team in 2016, and currently serves as the Vice President of Accounting. She is a licensed CPA and has 15 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry. As a key member of the leadership team, Daralee plays a critical role in developing, overseeing and implementing financial strategies for the company.

  • Sean Mulholland

    Director of Safety

    Sean is responsible for addressing all safety matters at SevenBar Aviation, including the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Safety Management System (SMS). Prior to joining the company, he led a long career as a safety investigator, analyst, auditor, and manager in operations and employee safety with a major US airline.

  • Wade Neiswender

    Director of Quality

    Wade has a 19-year history of service to SevenBar Aviation as a maintenance technician, Director of Maintenance, and now Director of Quality. His knowledge of our company’s fleet and operational history is unmatched. As Director of Quality, Wade is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance in company aircraft and maintenance operations. He oversees the company’s internal evaluation program and coordinates with the Director of Maintenance to ensure that aircraft maintenance at SevenBar Aviation is in line with or ahead of best practices in our industry. Wade is also a CAMTS site survey and is very active at the national level.

  • Darrell Rickert

    Director of Maintenance

    Darrell joined SevenBar Aviation in 2005 as the lead mechanic at our Albuquerque base. As SevenBar Aviation’s Director of Maintenance, he is responsible for the company’s compliance with FAA regulations, and he oversees all aircraft maintenance operations. He has more than 28 years' experience in aircraft maintenance, and received his A&P license in 1989 and his Inspection Authorization in 1999.

  • Ken Mize

    Director, Rotor Wing Maintenance

    Kenny Mize currently serves as the Director of Rotor Wing Maintenance for SevenBar Aviation. Kenny heads up rotor wing maintenance and logistics for SevenBar’s rotor wing business line. Prior to joining SevenBar, Kenny worked for Rotorcraft Support Group, a Part 145 service and completions center for all major helicopter manufacturers in the Dallas MetroPlex. Kenny served as the Director of Maintenance and as the Director of Quality at RSG.

  • Analia Vaca

    Director of Human Resources

    Since joining SevenBar Aviation in 2008, Analia Vaca has had a passion for employee relations and benefits. Analia currently serves as the Director of Human Resources, and her enthusiasm and dedication to the company are integral to recruiting, hiring, and retaining new SevenBar Aviation team members. Consistently updating policies and procedures and staying on top of trends in the HR community are key functions of her position. Analia also administers the company’s DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program, ensuring compliance with DOT and FAA regulations.

  • Jamie Stone

    Director of Operations

    Jamie currently serves as the director of operations for SevenBar Aviation. He is an air medical pilot with more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry. His vast experience includes working as a Part 121 line pilot, check airman, and various leadership roles to include chief pilot and director of operations. Jamie holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and is a Gold Seal Certified Flight Instructor and brings more than 7500 hours of flight time, with type ratings in seven aircraft.

  • Tom Rapier

    Fixed Wing Chief Pilot

    Tom joined the SevenBar team in early 2016, and currently serves as Fixed Wing Chief Pilot. His aviation career is extensive, with twelve years of experience flying various types of jet aircraft and the Beechcraft King Air series. Prior to joining SevenBar, Tom worked as a line pilot, check airman, adjunct professor and flight instructor in Fort Worth, TX. He also served as the Director of Training for a large corporate charter airline based in TN, where he was responsible for the oversight and implementation of more than 350 training events annually. His wide range of leadership experience and passion for air medical transport is a great asset to the SevenBar team.

  • Stephen Boatwright

    Rotor Wing Chief Pilot

    After Stephen and his wife moved to the United States 15 years ago, he knew he wanted to fly helicopters. HIs aviation career started in his native country of England in 1995, where he gained his airplane license. He later obtained his helicopter license in 2004 and began working as a flight instructor and line pilot in the Gulf of Mexico. His love of aviation led him to HEMS in 2013, when he began flying for Era Helicopters and the LifeFlight of Maine program. There he served as a line pilot and check airman. Stephen is currently serves as Rotor Wing Chief Pilot with SevenBar Aviation and brings an extensive range of experience to the team.
